Since 1977, Munger Chadwick has grown to be one of the oldest and most prestigious law firms in Arizona. As we grow, opportunities often arise for lawyers to join us and become part of our team. Part of our excellence.

But our requirements are high. Generally, we do not hire new attorneys directly out of law school, although we have done so from time to time where we had an opportunity to bring on a very extraordinary individual. Usually, however, we are most interested in attorneys who not only were in the top 15% of their law school class, but who also have published or been a law review editor, and already have several years of practical experience. Proven achievement is required. And we are looking for very special people.

We also require attorneys who have unqualifiedly high character, high energy, and excellent communication skills. Unlike many larger firms, Munger Chadwick attorneys work directly, and “hands on,” with our clients and in our cases. Munger Chadwick is not a place where attorneys can hide, fail to communicate, and expect to do well. Our expectations are high.

Yet, we have developed an extremely warm and friendly environment in the firm. We respect family and the responsibilities our attorneys have to their families. While we are large enough to handle the very largest and complex cases, and often do so, we are small enough to enjoy a wonderful work environment of friendship and comraderie amongst all our staff. We do not countenance rudeness, yelling, or lack of teamwork. We are all part of the team, and we all need to work well together.

The firm was founded on the principle that great lawyers are “Fearless advocates, but courteous foes.” We are honest with everyone, we honor the law, and we will defend and advocate our clients’ interests zealously within those bounds.
